Installation of Electronic Engines and Gearboxes |

« Back
The good news is that installation is simple and inexpensive.
1) Only a single 5 mm Dia. cable from one helm to the processor, in or near one engine room is needed. All data to control both engines is carried on this single cable. The processor is commanded by any helm unit to carry out a myriad of functions to both engines. (See diagram below)
2) Up to three helm units and one remote (or 4 helm units) can be used. All units are wired in parallel. (See diagram)

3) The processor wiring is connected directly to the egine and gearbox electronics which has two important advantages:-
-
The easy smooth action experienced on the helm, will always remain smooth and easy because of the absence of cables.
-
Any movement at the helm no matter how large or small is instantaneously duplicated at the engine. Electric power supplies the muscle, you supply only the direction and amount of movement .
4) Existing engine speed sensors are used to provide engine speed information to the processor to manage intelligent data instruction for gear box protection. Synchronization of motors and various other variable delays to create the perfect safe monitoring of motor & gearbox. The owners manual gives simple instructions that are easily followed.
5) A drilling template is provided for fitting the Control Head at the helms.
